Craig Barkacs, professor of business law in the University of San Diego School of Business, was interviewed by CBS-8 (San Diego) on privacy intrusion

The story was related to the U.S. House of Representatives vote to block online privacy regulations issued during the final months of the Obama administration, a first step toward allowing internet providers such as Comcast, AT&T and Verizon to sell the browsing habits of their customers.

Barkacs said what little privacy the FCC provided is now gone as a result of the vote. "Consumers are now a commodity to be bought and sold" with this vote, he commented. He is worried more consumer privacy will be lost.
