Miller Quoted in Our City San Diego on Multifamily Housing

Monday, December 12, 2016

Norm Miller, the Hahn Chair of Real Estate Finance, was quoted in a December 9 Our City San Diego article on multifamily housing units

The article focused on the lack of housing supply in San Diego as well as the rising rents that have fueled San Diego’s multifamily housing market, making it an opportune time to own or sell apartments. But an influx of new units downtown and rents reaching near capacity, could dampen the downtown submarket at the same time that other developers have struggled to get approvals outside of downtown.

“Outside of downtown, it is extremely hard to get approvals for any dense smaller unit housing projects,” said Miller. He cited developers having a challenging time getting projects approved.

Miller is an expert on real estate, valuation, housing price forecasting, sustainability, mortgage risk analysis, sustainable business strategies and workplace trends.
