USD School of Business Mediation Team advanced to Semi Finals at the International Intercollegiate Mediation Tournament

The USD School of Business Mediation Team competed in the 18th Annual International IntercollegiateMediation Tournament in Gainesville, Georgia on November 9-11, 2017.  The competition was sponsoredby Brenau University and the InterNational Academy of Dispute Resolution (INADR).  Austin April (TeamLeader), Tiara Avaness, Callie Sharp and Andrew Brooksbank were coached by Rick Custin, ClinicalProfessor of Business Law & Ethics. The USD Team advanced to the semi-final round and Tiara Avanessearned an individual top mediator award after she co-mediated a number of mock cases clearlydemonstrating to the judges her skill as a mediator. Tiara was placed 5th in a field of nearly 100mediators from 15 colleges and universities.
