In addition to its email functionality, the Message Server also provides easy-to-use collaboration tools, including group calendaring, scheduling and address book.
  • Mirapoint Calendar is a richly featured web-based calendar that is integrated into a one stop system for users needing a highly reliable solution for online collaboration.
  • Mirapoint Contacts helps you manage your address book and personal contacts so you have email, address, phone and fax information all in one location which makes communicating with an individual or a group much easier.
  • Mirapoint Tasks is comparable to your paper bases To Do list[s].  It’s intuitive and easy to use.

Mirapoint Clients

Macintosh
Windows
Migrating to Outlook [Windows Only]

Macintosh

As a Mac user, you’re probably using Eudora, Apple Mail or Entourage for mail and Calendar Manager or iCal for calendaring.  Any of those three mail programs is just fine under Mirapoint for mail.  However, Calendar Manager is going away and iCal is a standalone program at this point.  Come to the class called Macintosh Introduction to Mirapoint to learn how to use the Mirapoint Web Client Interface.  You’ll see that you can get Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks all in one or “mix and match” your current mail program and whatever you want from the web interface.  We hope to see Mirapoint support for Entourage and iCal soon.  Stay tuned.

Windows

As a Windows user, you may be using Eudora, Outlook or Webmail to access your mail.  You may also be using Calendar Manager for your meetings and appointments.  Mirapoint replaces our old mail system as well as Calendar Manager.

Migrating to Outlook [Windows Only]

Eudora Users: Consider the class: Migrating to Outlook.  It will show you why Outlook is the preferred program worldwide for integrated Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks.  If you want to keep using Eudora for mail, then take the Windows Introduction to Mirapoint to see how to use Mirapoint’s Web Client for calendaring, contacts and tasks.

Webmail Users: You probably know that you’ve been accessing your mail from a web client.  We recommend that you, too, take the class Migrating to Outlook, so you can enjoy the convenience of having Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks in an integrated program.  If you want to keep using a web client both at work and away, then come to the Windows Introduction to Mirapoint to see how that Web Client is a state of the art mail, calendaring, contacts and tasks system.

Outlook Users: Outlook under Mirapoint makes your life easier, period, end of story.  Outlook isn’t JUST the way you get mail.  Instead, you’ll have Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks all integrated in Outlook for ease of use.  You MAY want to take Migrating to Outlook to see all that it can do, but only if you’ve never used the Calendar, Contacts or Tasks functions.  Otherwise, you only need to take the Windows Introduction to Mirapoint to see what to do when you can’t use Outlook, e.g. if you don’t have Outlook at home, or if you’re traveling.
