It was anticipated that faculty and staff would want a way to identify and
brand their own units, so the Department of Marketing and Strategic
Partnerships created custom signatures, which are modified versions of the
master logo that feature a unit's name.
Custom signatures are created, by request, by the marketing department for
use by schools, programs, departments or offices at the university. Virtually
any unit that's part of the university's formal organizational structure can
have a custom signature. To date, more than 200 university-sanctioned custom
signatures have been created for academic, administrative and athletic units
across campus.
Any request for a design that falls outside of this sanctioned structure is
subject to a thorough review and, ultimately, will be presented for
authorization by the vice president of University Relations before design
begins.
