How to request USD materials using LRC Plus
Law faculty may use LRC Plus to request books, journals and photocopies of materials in the LRC and Copley library collections.
Use SALLY <http://sally.sandiego.edu/> to determine whether USD owns a particular book, journal, reporter, etc.
Fill out and submit an LRC Plus request form, available online at <http://www.sandiego.edu/lrc/about/lrcplusone.php>. Printed LRC Plus forms are also available at the LRC reference and circulation desks; return them to the LRC circulation desk or via intracampus mail. Please include any special instructions on the request form and let us know whether formats such as Lexis, Westlaw printouts are acceptable to you.
Books, journals and photocopies of materials from the LRC will be delivered to your office or mailbox within 48 hours. Materials from Copley may take longer.
We will notify you if we cannot fill your request.

How to request books from UCSD, SDSU, and CSU San Marcos using the San Diego Circuit
If you cannot find a book in SALLY, try searching the San Diego Library Consortium catalog, a joint catalog for the library collections of the University of San Diego, the University of California San Diego, San Diego State University, and California State University San Marcos. When your SALLY search indicates that USD does not own a particular book or that the book is currently unavailable, click on the blue REPEAT SEARCHIN SDCIRCUIT button that appears near the top of most SALLY search screens. You can access the main search screen for the Circuit catalog at <http://circuit.sdsu.edu/> , by clicking on the San Diego Circuit Consortium Catalog link from the LRC webpage, or by clicking on 
, near the top of each SALLY screen: if the book you need is unavailable, try searching .
You can perform author, title, keyword and other searches in the Circuit catalog. When you find the book you want, follow the prompts:
You will receive an onscreen message if your request cannot be filled: for example, you cannot order books through the Circuit if they are available at USD; books and journals that do not circulate cannot be requested through the circuit. Circuit books are usually delivered within 24 hours. Books sent to the LRC will be delivered to your office or mailbox.click on REQUEST THIS ITEM indicate that you are affiliated with U of San Diego supply your name and barcode number (your barcode number is on your USD ID) select the USD Legal Research Center as your pickup location
Journals and photocopies cannot be requested via the Circuit. Use LRC Plus or Interlibrary Loan. If you have questions, send e-mail to lrcplus@sandiego.edu or call the Daniel Gonzalez at extension 7479.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
To request books that are not available at USD or via the San Diego Circuit or to request photocopies of articles that are not available at USD, please use Interlibrary Loan:

Disclaimers
- There are no LRC Plus or San Diego Circuit deliveries on weekends.
- LRC Plus requests received after 3:00 p.m. on Friday will be delivered by the following Tuesday.
- Please limit yourself to three LRC Plus requests per day.
- Inaccurate or incomplete citations may delay delivery beyond the 48-hour limit.
- We will notify you by phone or e-mail if we have questions about your request or if we cannot deliver within the 48-hour limit.
