All refund monies paid will either be sent back to you, your school or your credit card (depending on how your account was paid). There is no refund of any convenience fees charged by using a credit card when making any of your payments to USD.

There is no refund when a student withdraws from a law class but remains in the program.

There is no refund if you withdraw from a Tutorial after Friday, April 1st.

However, you may withdraw from a Tutorial and choose another law class instead and all extra monies paid towards the Tutorial will be put towards the law class chosen. However, you will be charged a course change fee of $50 per law class added.

If you are attending two USD programs, there is a separate refund computation for each program from which you withdraw. Please read your second sessions refund policy to determine your refund.

If you are refused admission by the Institute only, then all total amounts paid will be refunded.

To ALL individuals: Please be aware that there is no refund of any monies paid to USD for any amounts paid for tuition, housing, language classes, Russia Visa fee money order, Tutorial surcharge and/or the St Petersburg trip, if you cannot obtain a Visa to attend your selected program(s) after you have enrolled and paid your fees to USD.

If you are a non-U.S. citizen, it is your responsibility to find out what ALL the requirements are to obtain your Visa before you sign up for any of our programs. You would then start the Application Process and provided all necessary documentation/paperwork to enroll you, pay the required amounts due to be enrolled by USD, and then e-mail Ms Cindy King, cking@sandiego.edu what the Visa requirements are for you. Ms King will prepare or have prepared, the necessary documentation for your Visa from USD. If you wait until the last minute (30 days before the start of your program), USD would not be able to help you. You would then have to pay an outside company - not USD, the appropriate fees required to start your Visa process to obtain your Visa.

    ACADEMIC DISQUALIFICATION:

If you are academically disqualified from returning to law school and you leave the Oxford program, a full refund for tuition only that was paid, would be refunded back.

If you signed up and paid for your Oxford housing through USD, you would not receive a refund for your housing costs paid, as we will still be billed for your room. If we can find someone to take your housing, then a refund of all monies paid, except for the $50 housing deposit would be refunded back to you.

If you secured housing in Oxford, on your own and not through USD, you would need to contact your landlord/realtor directly regarding any type of refund.

All refund amounts paid, would be refunded back to either you, your school or to your credit card.

    ------------------------

If a check is returned to USD due to insufficient funds, any resulting fee is added to the student's program cost.

USD puts returned checks back through two (2) times before the Study Abroad office is notified of a bad check. USD will not resubmit this check after 2 tries. Re-payment must arrive at our office within 2 business days by either a U.S. Money Order, U.S. Cashier's (bank) Check, or payment may be made via credit card only for all amounts due.
