A night out to the Moscow Circus**

Remember, Orientation will be held on Sunday, May 25th at 6pm at the above address at Pericles ABLE Training Center, so when traveling, watch your time.
Go to Moscow Metro map in Russian.
We do not provide pickup for students flying into St Petersburg or to any other Moscow airports other than Sheremetyevo 2. We do not provide airport delivery back to any of Russia's airports.
However, those arriving at Moscow’s Domodyedovo airport will find an easy and inexpensive train system to take you to the center of the city provided that you can catch it before 10pm. (Facing the train tracks, take the train on the left only. This goes directly into Moscow-non-stop - takes about 2 hours).
If you wish to arrive early or stay late, let us know no later than March 12th so that we can try and obtain the appropriate visa request letters in advance and possibly help with accommodations.
Make travel plans as far in advance as possible. Allow at least 3 hours for getting to the airport and catching your flight. (Booking an 8am departure will mean leaving for the airport at 4am, when public transport is closed and cabs can be hard to catch.)
You must notify Dean Marian Dent AS SOON AS POSSIBLE of your schedule of arrival to include the day, time, date, airlines, arrival airport, even if it is at Sheremetyevo 2, and flight number so that she can arrange pick up on either Saturday, May 24 before 7pm or Sunday, May 25th before 3pm at Sheremetyevo 2 airport only. If you do NOT require pick up, please say so.
As it says in the Survival Guide that you will receive around mid-May or sooner, that IF you are being picked up at Sheremetyevo II airport, the person waiting for you will wait in the middle of the airport arrivals hall, between the escalators, unless you hear otherwise from the pick up person. There's a cafe right near there, so if you don't see someone there, just relax, sit down and have a coffee, and keep looking around--probably the person meeting you is sitting right next to you and having a coffee too. We will try to get USD posters to the picker uppers, but not everyone will be able to stop off at Pericles and pick one up, so it's far safer to exchange photos and just look for someone holding up a piece of paper with your name.
If you miss the person picking you up, please DO NOT leave the airport on your own. Instead, phone the person meeting you, or phone Pericles (7-495) 649-2273, or phone Dean Dent at 8-916-600-3747 if you can't reach the person that is supposed to pick you up. If your cell phone doesn't work, I'm sure you can find someone who will loan you a phone for a moment, or you can ask to make a call on a land line at one of the airline or car rental booths that surround the hall.
