Facilities
The Paris program is co-sponsored by ESSEC (École Supérieure des Sciences Économiques et Commerciales), the law faculty at the University of Paris I and the Institut Catholique de Paris. Classrooms and offices are in the University of Paris Centre Malher, located in the Marais at 9 rue Malher, 4e. The area is filled with graceful 17th century mansions such as the Hotel Salé, which is now the Picasso Museum. Notre Dame and the Palais de Justice are within walking distance.
Orientation
Please plan to attend the orientation on Monday, July 2 at the University of Paris Centre Malher, at 5pm.
Touring
Organized trips visit Chartres Cathedral, Claude Monet’s home and gardens in Giverney, the chateaux of the Loire Valley and the Champaign region. Many students choose to visit Mont St. Michel, Bayeux and the Cote d’Azur on their own.
Legal Activities
Exclusive educational tours for students include visiting the Palais de Justice, the Conseil d'Etat and the French Senate. The institute also hosts talks from Paris practitioners and professors, and by legal officers of international organizations.
Last Year's Enrollment
Last summer 76 students participated in the Paris Institute.
Guarantee
USD guarantees that the Paris Institute will be held subject only to minor adjustments due to emergencies or subject to force majeure. USD has never cancelled an advertised Institute.
