This course examines international protection of patents, copyrights, and trademarks; geographical indications and trade secrets for inventors, authors, artists, and businesses under domestic, EU, and international law, as influenced by culture and the internet; emerging areas of IP protection, including domain names, cartoon and story characters, biota and traditional knowledge; and special enforcement problems in developing countries.
The final exam will be held on 6/22/13. (Program dates: May 27-June 22, 2013)
