Accu-Prints will provide Live Scan fingerprints and passport photos for 2Ls, 3Ls, and 4Ls. Live Scan fingerprints are required for the California State Bar Moral Character Application, and passport photos are required for the MPRE. Live Scan fingerprints are $19; a passport photo is $10; you can purchase both for $27. Cash or credit card only; no personal checks. Please note, fingerprints will expire after 90 days. Keep in mind that if you are fingerprinted on this date, you should plan to submit your Moral Character Application within 90 days.

Are you interested in joining USD's award-winning National Trial Team? Want to improve your trial advocacy skills? Then you should consider competing the spring Mock Trial Intramural Tournament. We gather at the beginning of the spring semester for a USD tradition, the annual All Faith Service. This celebration brings together in prayer the leaders of various faith communities, faculty, staff, and students. This year's theme is A Call to Unity: Living with an Open Heart. As in past years, participants include USD students and representatives of Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, and Native American faith traditions who, through scripture, song, chant, dance, and narration highlight their different beliefs. Student Writing Competitions
Looking for a way to get published? Maybe earn some extra cash? Then consider entering a writing competition. Visit the Writing Competitions web page for current opportunities. There are a variety of topics that you can write an essay on. Deadlines vary and new competitions are posted periodically, so check them out today! For some inspiration, you can read about other USD law students who have won these competitions here, here, and here.
Outside Scholarship Opportunities
There are a number of organizations that sponsor scholarships that you may qualify for. More information about these scholarship opportunities can be found on the Outside Scholarships web page. Additional scholarship opportunities are added throughout the semester, so be sure to check this page often. Among several opportunities, there is currently a scholarship being offered by the California Bar Foundation for those who will be taking the California Bar Exam in July 2017 (the deadline is February 14).
Accommodations: Course Notes Request Process
For students who have been identified as being eligible to receive class notes for their courses by the Disability and Learning Difference Resource Center (DLDRC), please be advised of the new process by which you should request notes each semester effective Spring 2017. To request notes for your course(s), complete this secure web form. If you have any questions about your accommodations, please contact the DLDRC or Haley Shumaker, Assistant Director for Law Student Affairs. If you do not currently receive accommodations, but are aware of a need for services, please set up an appointment with the DLDRC to discuss the process.
