Sleep Week

With fall exams here, you may be tempted to stay up late and forgo sleep. But do not underestimate the importance of sleep! Sleep is your body's way of replenishing itself and increases alertness, reduces stress, and bolsters memory...all of which contribute to your academic success on exams. Studies show that students who pull all-nighters tend to have a lower GPA than students who make time for sleep. And students who get seven to eight hours of sleep each night are less likely to get sick. Make sleep a priority during this exam period, and help reach your maximum academic potential. For more about sleep tips and myths, check out USD Wellness' Sleep Management web page.

USD Student Wellness: Stress Less Stations

Visit our Stress Less locations at Copley Library, Frank's Lounge, and the Center for Health and Wellness Promotion (UC 161). We have stress-relieving tips and items like tea, sleep masks, play-doh, coloring pages, bubble wrap, and more. For more information about sleep, managing stress, and finals week resources, visit the You Are USD web page.

Quiet Study Space

In addition to the Legal Research Center, a quiet study space is also available in the UC Exhibit Hall (located across from the Torero Store and next to Tu Mercado). This quiet study space is open starting Friday, December 2 at 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Sunday. Starting Tuesday, December 13, the hours are 7:30 a.m. to midnight. Note that this study space is open to all USD students.
