Academic Success & Bar Programs: Hiring Academic Success Fellows for Spring 2018

Are you looking for a way to earn additional income without sacrificing your studies? You could get paid to help fellow students and prepare for the bar exam in the process. We are currently hiring Academic Success Fellows for the upcoming 1L courses this Spring semester: Constitutional Law I (Professors M. Ramsey, Rappaport, and S. Smith); Contracts (Professors Barry, Kelly, and D. McGowan); and Property (Professors Bell, Hirsch, and Wiggins). With a manageable time commitment, this position allows for you keep another job or stay involved in various extracurricular activities. Distinguished Alumni Awards Luncheon: Invitation to Be Hosted-RSVP Today

USD law students are invited to attend the annual Distinguished Alumni Awards Luncheon on Friday, November 17 from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn San Diego Bayside. Do not miss this opportunity to attend USD School of Law's signature alumni recognition event! This year's Distinguished Alumni Award honorees are Angela Bartosik, '93 (Chief Deputy Primary Public Defender, San Diego County Public Defender) and Ronson J. Shamoun, '98, '02, '03 (CEO and Principal Attorney, RJS Law). This year's Rising Star Recent Alumni Award honorees are Carolina Bravo-Karimi '08 and Abigail G. Study Spaces on Campus

As we get closer to the end of the semester, many students may be looking for quiet spaces to study on campus. Please be advised of the following spaces on campus which are available to the campus community: Pardee Legal Research Center (hours of operation) and Copley Library (hours of operation). Additionally, USD Law students have 24 hour access to Warren Hall. To access Warren Hall before 7 a.m. and after 10 p.m., you must swipe your USD student ID card at the west or south entrances to the Writs or the south entrance to the second floor foyer.

USD Legal Clinics: Spring Applications

Do an internship right here on campus. Join our on-site law office and gain skills working with actual clients on real legal cases. This is an experience that can boost your resume and prepare you for legal practice. We are accepting applications for the spring 2018 semester. UCSD Mock Trial Competition: Judges Needed

Saturday, November 18; 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.; University of San Diego
Sunday, November 19; 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.; University of San Diego

Judges are needed for the UCSD Mock Trial Team's Wlodarczyk Invitational Tournament taking place in November right here on the University of San Diego campus. This is a great opportunity to observe and assist with mock trials as well as provide feedback to undergraduate students competing in their first "courtroom" experiences. The time commitment for each day will be approximately three hours per time slot. If you would like to volunteer as a judge please contact the UCSD Mock Trial Team at Judges will receive more detailed information and a judging informational packet one week prior to the tournament.
