All are invited and welcome to attend the San Diego Shakespeare Society's Mock Trial of Hamlet. This is sure to be a unique experience. Hamlet is charged with murder. But Hamlet claims self-defense as he was under threat from his uncle Claudius. The prosecution argues that in mistakenly killing Polonius, Hamlet was intending to kill the King with the aim of seizing the throne. The mock trial will be presided by U.S. District Court Judge Larry A. Burns. Members of the audience will also serve on the jury of this case. Admission is $10 for students; $20.00 for non-members. An optional post-trial reception is available for $15. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Tickets can also be purchased in advance. Visit the event web page for more information and instructions on how to purchase advance tickets. Proceeds will benefit the 2017 12th Annual Student Shakespeare Festival.
