The USD Sports & Entertainment Law Society is proud to host this year's 2nd Annual Sports Law Symposium. The theme of this year's symposium is: "Sports: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly." All proceeds from this event are being donated to Becky's House, a local domestic violence victims' shelter. While USD Law student and faculty tickets are free, Dean Ferruolo has graciously offered to donate $3 for every student (up to 50 students) that attends!  Visit the event web page for more information and to register.

Our first panel is ‘Online Sports Gambling’ and will explore the controversy surrounding sites such as Draft Kings and Fanduel. Our second panel is ‘Domestic Violence in Sports’ and will discuss the increasing prevalence of domestic violence, looking at both the legal and league implications. Lastly, our keynote speaker, David Meltzer Esq., CEO of Sports 1 Marketing, and ‘Forbes Top Ten Keynote Speaker in 2016’ will be speaking about his role with Sports 1 Marketing, his projects with NFL Player’s Association, Pro Football Hall of Fame, Super Bowl and the charitable initiatives he weaves into every business deal.
