The Voting Rights Act Today: Constitutional Issues

In June, the United States Supreme Court issued its controversial ruling in Shelby County v. Holder, freeing states, counties and municipalities formerly subject to the Voting Rights Act to change election laws without federal approval. The Court's decision has immediate impact, with the implementation and proposal of laws limiting voter access.

In conjunction with our annual Constitution Day proceedings at the University of San Diego School of Law, please join three professors from our faculty for a stimulating discussion of this timely and provocative issue.
