The University of San Diego School of Law VICAM Team hosts the inaugural SPontaneous ARgumentation competition (“SPAR”).

Participants compete in a head-to-head tournament that largely mimics a moot competition in its structure. Topics are randomly selected for each pair of competitors from a top hat. Competitors have one minute to prepare and three minutes to argue their issue. Much like a moot, participants should be prepared to field questions from the judges. Each round will feature all new topics and will last only ten minutes.

The winner will receive a $250 cash prize.
