Go to the CalBar website to register for the 2015 California July Bar Examination. If you are planning on taking a bar exam in another state, please contact Academic Services Advisor Janet Madden.

March 11-12, 2015 GradFest. 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. (USD Torero Store). Order cap and gown ($25.00 fee), commencement announcements, photos, etc. at: GradFest, the USD Torero Store (Loma Hall), online, or through the Graduation Hotline at (619) 260-4600 ext. 4248. Representatives will be available to order a class ring.
March 13, 2015
  • Deadline to APPLY TO GRADUATE. Log in to MySanDiego and go to the "Law Student" tab. In the Academic Records Tools channel, click on "Apply to Graduate." You MUST complete the online form if you plan to graduate in May.
  • Deadline to provide commencement and diploma information. If you do not wish to provide your diploma information online, go to the Office of the Registrar in Warren Hall Room 202.
  • Deadline to schedule your mandatory exit interview. Students whose last names start with A-K will have their interview in the Office for Career & Professional Development (Warren Hall Room 113). Students whose last names start with L-Z will have their interview in the Office for Law Student Affairs (Warren Hall Room 218). Please sign up for your exit interview through one of the links below. (JD students only)

April 1, 2015 Last day to submit your JD concentration application to the Office for Law Student Affairs, Warren Hall Room 218. LLM in Comparative Law students should submit their concentration application to Graduate and International Programs, Warren Hall Room 207.

  • Deadline to apply to be the student commencement speaker. If you would like to represent the class of 2015 as the student commencement speaker, email a written draft of your proposed commencement speech to SBA President Erin Osmak. The speech may be no longer than 10 minutes when delivered. The graduation committee will review all submitted speeches and choose three finalists who will be invited to give their speech before the committee. The committee will select the student commencement speaker from those finalists. 
  • Deadline to apply to be the student national anthem singer. If you would like to sing the national anthem at the 2015 commencement ceremony, please email the Office for Law Student Affairs. In your email, include your name, email, and a contact phone number. Auditions will take place the week of April 13 and will be in front of a panel of administrators and graduating students.
April 2, 2015 Last day to order cap and gown (either online or at the Torero Store) ($25.00 fee).
April 16, 2015 Last day to submit your Pro Bono hours to the Office for Law Student Affairs.
April 24, 2015 Last day to notify the Office for Law Student Affairs if your relatives are alums and you would like them to participate on stage at commencement.
April 29, 2015 Pick up cap and gown (GradFest II) from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at the Degheri Alumni Center. Stop by and pick up your cap and gown while enjoying food, music, and a festive atmosphere. Caps and gowns can also be picked up in the Torero Store (Loma Hall) starting on April 30 during regular bookstore hours.
Before May 1, 2015 Complete mandatory financial aid exit loan counseling.
Before May 1, 2015 Participate in the graduating class gift campaign.
Before May 1, 2015 Complete the online Career and Professional Development graduate survey. (JD students only)
TBA Attend the Student Bar Association grad bash. (Time and Location TBA)
May 15, 2015 Attend the law school graduation mass at 4 p.m. in Founders Chapel. If you are interested in volunteering at the mass, please contact the Office for Law Student Affairs.
May 16, 2015 Attend the commencement ceremony from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the Jenny Craig Pavilion. No tickets necessary. Arrive for line-up by 8 a.m. Reception follows in the University Center, Forums A, B and C. The commencement ceremony will be webcast live and replays will be available for one week following the ceremony.
July 2015 Diplomas will be mailed to mailing address on file. Order commencement photos from the May 16, 2015 ceremony online from California Candids.
