USD-Oxford Media and Markets Conference

Date and Time:

Friday, January 17, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Location:

Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice Theatre

Details:

"How Reputations Are Won and Lost in Modern Information Markets"

Join some of the world’s leading journalists, academics, and business leaders to learn how fundamental changes in the spread of information are affecting the way businesses interact with their stakeholders, how they navigate the competing information agendas that surround them, and the public policy implications.

Three panels will feature speeches and discussion about: (1) the effects of technological change on the dissemination and analysis of information, (2) the proliferation of different stakeholders and audiences, and (3) the polarization of knowledge. How have these changes altered the role of journalists, academics, and business leaders? How do they affect the reputations of corporations and individuals?
