Ready for Taxmageddon?
If Congress does not act by January 1, 2013, many favorable provisions of the Tax Code will revert back to the laws in place before enactment of the Bush-era tax cuts. Dubbed “Taxmageddon” by the media, it’s no secret that people are concerned about the looming Tax Code changes. Hyperbole aside, “Taxmageddon” is likely to have some important tax consequences that will impact decision making by individuals and businesses alike. To properly counsel clients, attorneys and tax practitioners need to have an understanding of the changes that are most likely to occur, as well as the likely effect of those changes on their clients.
Tax Attorneys, Tyson Cross (Richard Carpenter Law Office) and Michael Dallo (Dallo Law Group), will provide an update on the status of the Tax Code changes in Congress, as well as identify the most significant of the changes set to occur on January 1. Time permitting; they will also discuss the impact these changes might have on taxpayers and what steps attorneys and tax practitioners need to take in the coming months to prepare for them.
Light refreshments will be provided.
There is no charge to attend this event. For additional information, please contact Jesi Betancourt at firstname.lastname@example.org.
