Please join us for a memorial gathering to honor University of San Diego Herzog Research Professor of Law Fred Zacharias.
A nationally recognized figure in the field of professional responsibility, Professor Zacharias joined the USD faculty in 1990. He taught courses in constitutional law, criminal procedure and professional responsibility. During his tenure at USD, he was named Herzog Scholar (1995-96), received the Thorsnes Prize for Outstanding Legal Scholarship (2003-04), named Class of 1975 Professor (2005-06) and in 2009 became the inaugural Donald Weckstein Summer Research Professor.
Professor Zacharias passed away on November 8, 2009. He was 56.
The memorial gathering is open to all colleagues, friends as well as current and former students to remember Professor Zacharias' commitment to his students, support of the law school and contributions to the legal profession.
