Continuing JD and LLM Student Spring Registration

You are responsible for being familiar with the steps below and the information contained in each of the links.

Step 1: Develop an Ideal Schedule

Use the class schedules web page and the course descriptions web page to develop your ideal spring schedule. Keep in mind the rules governing course reservation while developing your schedule. Be sure to also get approval forms for clinical classes, judicial internships, Independent Supervised Research, and Moot Court or Mock Trial.

JD Students

Be sure to find out what classes you need to take by checking the JD graduation requirements.

LLM Students

Be sure to find out what classes you need to take by checking the LLM programs web page. If you have questions about which courses fulfill the specific requirements of your degree program, please contact the Graduate and International Programs Assistant Director, Saviz Fallahian.

  • Academic advising appointments are available to all LLM students.
  • All LLM in Comparative Law students must meet with Graduate and International Programs Assistant Director, Saviz Fallahian, prior to being permitted to register online.

Step 2: Confirm Account Status

Read related important information on tuition, fees and financial aid:

NOTE: We cannot process the registration of anyone on whom the Office of Student Accounts has placed a financial hold. Please make sure your account is in balance by:

  1. logging in to MySanDiego,
  2. navigating to the "Law Student" tab, and
  3. scrolling down to the "Registration Tools" channel (middle column) and clicking on "Registration Status" to see if there are any holds on your account.

Registration is not complete until tuition is cleared in Student Accounts. Registrations completed after the payment deadline will incur a $150 late fee. The payment deadline for all students is 5 p.m. on the Friday before the start of the semester.

Step 3: Add/Drop Period

Online registration through MySanDiego will continue to remain open for add/drop purposes until the 10th day of the semester.
