  1. Q: When did you decide to pursue a law degree?
A: I officially decided to pursue a law degree my senior year of college. I had always been interested in going to law school and I took the LSAT the previous summer, but I still wasn’t sure if I was ready to make the commitment until my senior year.
  2. Q: Why did you choose USD School of Law?
A: I chose USD because I wanted to stay in California, but I wanted to experience a different part of the state. I had also done some research on the school and then visited the campus in the spring after I was accepted. I had a great experience when I visited the campus because I had the opportunity to see how beautiful the campus is and meet some students and professors.
  3. Q: How hard is law school? Is it more or less effort than you imagined?
A: Law school is difficult and some things are much more difficult than I thought they would be. For example, before coming to law school, I had never really thought about how difficult taking exams would be. For me, studying for all my finals and taking exams that are often 100% of our grades is more stressful than I had expected.
  4. Q: Did you have to make any changes to your personal life to attend law school?
A: The only thing I had to change in my personal life to attend law school was to move to San Diego from northern California.
  5. Q: What activities do you participate in at USD School of Law?
A: I’m currently a member of San Diego Law Review, an intern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and a member of the Women’s Law Caucus. I’m also on an intramural softball team and basketball team. I have previously worked at the USD Veteran’s Legal Clinic and the USD Civil Clinic.
