In Memoriam: Attorney and Former USD School of Law Professor Harvey Levine

San Diego (February 7, 2013) - Harvey Levine, well-known San Diego attorney and former University of San Diego School of Law professor, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, following a lengthy illness. He was 68.

A story in the San Diego Union-Tribune reported, "Attorney Harvey Levine represented the little guys, those fighting insurance companies that refused to pay claims. He also took on some big guys as clients, including a former Chargers player and the San Diego Padres. Levine had a highlight-reel legal career that included work outside the courtroom as a professor at the University of San Diego School of Law and a stint as legal liaison for the United Nations in Italy."

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Congregation Beth Israel in University City.
