| Title | Prof. Frank Partnoy Co-Authors Cover Story "What's Inside America's Banks" |
| Message | George E. Barrett Professor of Law and Finance and Co-Director of the Center for Corporate and Securities Law Frank Partnoy co-authored a cover story in the January/February issue of The Atlantic magazine with Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter Jesse Eisinger. The story titled “What’s Inside America’s Banks?” takes readers on an adventure through the financial statements of Wells Fargo—a bank widely regarded as one of the most conservtive—to gauge whether it is possible to make informed judgments about the financial risks a bank may be carrying:
“Some four years after the 2008 financial crisis, public trust in banks is as low as ever. Sophisticated investors describe big banks as ‘black boxes’ that may still be concealing enormous risks—the sort that could again take down the economy.”
