Rosner is a partner at San Diego's Rosner, Barry & Babbitt, one of the largest law firms in the country that specializes entirely in consumer auto fraud cases. Founded by Rosner in 1985, the firm employs 10 full-time attorneys and reviews 200 to 400 potential cases a month, taking on approximately 10 percent of them. To date, Rosner has handled more than 1,000 auto fraud cases in the Golden State, winning millions of dollars for his clients. Rosner handled his first consumer fraud/Lemon Law case while he was still a law student at the University of San Diego. He began working with one of the country's most noted consumer advocates, USD Professor of Law Robert C. Fellmeth. Based upon the success of his first case, Rosner continued to handle consumer fraud and Lemon Law matters. Rosner has litigated to trial and resolved numerous consumer class action cases including Shames v. Pacific Bell and Critney v. National City Ford. In Shames, Rosner argued Pacific Bell failed to offer a four-hour time window for installation of its services to consumers, as required by law. Valued at more than $20 million, the settlement resulted in a change of business practices at Pacific Bell. In Critney, Rosner argued the car dealership failed to disclose vehicles as having been prior rentals. The settlement also resulted in a change in business practices, and affected consumers each received $1,000. Rosner is a current member of the University of San Diego Law Alumni Association Board of Directors. He joined the board in 2006. |
