Dan Link, Class of 2000, Sworn in as San Diego County Bar Association President

Message

Dan Link, a San Diego Deputy District Attorney and 2000 graduate of the USD School of Law, was recently elected president of the San Diego County Bar Association. Link was sworn in on December 3, 2010 for the one-year term.

At the age of 35, Link will be the youngest president in the association’s 100-year history.

“My goal as president is to strengthen our connections: our connection to one another as attorneys, our connection to the bench, our connection with our clients and our connection to the greater San Diego community,” said Link.

Link has served on the SDCBA Board of Directors for the past four years, and co-chairs the association’s Bench-Bar Committee. He succeeds 2010 President Patrick Hosey, who will serve on the board as immediate past president in 2011.

Link is currently a prosecutor in the DA’s Family Protection Division and has been with the office for more than 10 years. He’s been praised by his peers for his skills as a trial attorney, his ability to connect to crime victims and for having an unparalleled passion for serving the citizens of San Diego. He is also active in community service projects including Habitat for Humanity, Community HousingWork’s FaceLift, and the Adopt-a-Family holiday program.

Link’s father, San Diego Superior Court Judge Frederic Link, is also an alumnus of USD School of Law. A member of the class of 1968, the senior Link currently sits on the law school’s Board of Visitors.
