| Title | USD Law Ranked Among Top Three Private California Law Schools in Recent Survey |
|---|---|
| Message | SAN DIEGO (February 2, 2010) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law is among the top three private California law school faculties in a recently published study of scholarly productivity, ranked first among all law schools included in the study for per capita productivity of articles in top journals from 1993 to 2009. This puts USD School of Law ahead of every private California law school except Stanford and USC, which were not included because of the scope of the study. “This study confirms what knowledgeable observers have long known about our faculty,” said Dean Kevin Cole. “It is an absolutely first-rate collection of engaged legal scholars, and that translates into cutting-edge instruction in the class room.” The study also ranked all New England law schools using the same methodology. If USD were included in that list, it would rank third—behind Harvard and Yale, but ahead of well-known schools such as Boston University and Boston College. Prepared by researchers at Roger Williams University School of Law, the full study results and methodology are available online. |
