| Message | SAN DIEGO (November 24, 2009) – University of San Diego (USD) School of Law alumna Tracy Logan, '09, is featured in the latest issue of The New Lawyer, a publication of the Los Angeles Daily Journal. In "Cliff Jumper," Logan recounts her atypical law school experience as a part-time law student at USD. What began as a wish to further her career at her previous employer ended with a life-altering career change that landed her on the other side of the country. "Having a law degree on my resume would make me more marketable within the company," Logan explains in the article. "My attitude towards law school was different than my classmates'. I was in law school to further my current career, not to prepare myself for a new one." Logan cites her legal skills training and successful oral advocacy accomplishments at USD as stepping stones to taking the career-change plunge. By the time her fourth year of law school started, she knew she wanted something new. Logan notes career advice and support from the school enabled her to find her perfect career. "I am very happy and thankful that I landed my dream job," says Logan. "I've learned that sometimes, the riskiest moves have the biggest reward." About the University of San Diego School of Law |
