2013 Distinguished Alumni Awards Luncheon

The University of San Diego School of Law and the Law Alumni Association Board of Directors are pleased to present the 2013 Distinguished Alumni Award luncheon.

Honorees will be announced in May. View past honorees.

Sponsored by the University of San Diego School of Law Alumni Association Board of Directors, the Distinguished Alumni Award is the school's highest honor bestowed upon alumni. The award is presented to law school alumni who have distinguished themselves in the legal field or other chosen profession at an exemplary level and who embody the high ethical standards and commitment to community service USD School of Law seeks to instill in its graduates.

Each spring, a nominating committee considers candidates for the award and a recipient or recipients are selected by the committee and then approved by the Law Alumni Association Board of Directors. Nominate a USD Law Alumnus/a for the 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award. 

In the fall of the same year, the award or awards are presented at a luncheon honoring the recipient or recipients. Although there are nominees each year, the award is only given when the honor is appropriate. Since its inception in 1977, we have awarded more than 60 law school alumni.

The Rising Star Recent Alumni Award will also be presented at the luncheon. The Rising Star Recent Alumni Award is presented to alumni who have graduated within the past ten years, this award recognizes significant achievements in the legal profession or chosen field and a high level of community involvement. Cost

• $55 per person
• $40 per person for recent alumni and guests (graduation years from 2003-13)
• $15 per vehicle for valet parking (at the Westin Gaslamp Quarter)
• Parking validation is also available in the Horton Plaza parking garage for (3) hours with a $10 proof of purchase at Horton Plaza.
