Event Overview
Thursday, January 26, 2012 The evening event will feature distinguished speaker Mike Mayo, maverick bank analyst for CLSA (Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia), an affiliate of Credit Agricole Securities and author of Exile on Wall Street: One Analyst's Fight to Save the Big Banks from Themselves. Signed copies of the book will be given to the first 100 conference attendees. Click here to read the the book review by The Wall Street Journal Money & Investigating editor Francesco Guerrera. Investors who took Mike Mayo's advice have done well over the years. In May 1999, he wrote a 1,000 page report recommending investors sell stocks of 47 banks, despite the fact that his peers were telling investors to buy. Mayo brings to this event a unique perspective on the investment community. He's as outraged as the Occupy Wall Street protesters, standing firm against executive entitlement. Over the years, Mayo has paid a price for his integrity. He worked at six Wall Street forms, was fired by one and muzzled by another. He has testified before Congress about the problems and conflicts on Wall Street.
