Mediation Training for Senior Lawyers

Trainers
Donna Silverberg has mediated a wide variety
of disputes ranging from family and civil litigation
to land use and public policy matters. She is the
owner and principal mediator of DS Consulting
in Portland, Oregon. She coordinated the public
policy dispute resolution efforts of the state of
Oregon and was responsible for program development
and implementation of the state’s Public
Policy Program for Natural Resources.
Charles Wiggins is a professor at the University
of San Diego School of Law. In addition to offering
sophisticated negotiation training programs for
major law firms across the nation, he has also
provided mediation and negotiation skills programs
for government and business leaders throughout
Asia and Eastern Europe.
The trainers received excellent reviews the last
time they offered this training for the Senior
Lawyers Division.

Come learn sophisticated mediation techniques while associating with colleagues at a world-renowned conflict resolution center. Experienced trainers will use short lectures, tailored role-play exercises and extensive debriefing to prepare you to mediate a wide range of conflicts. The Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace & Justice, a 90,000 square-foot building on the USD campus with a purpose-built mediation facility, provides a spectacular site for the training. This program meets the 40-hour training requirement in most states. You will receive a certificate upon successful completion of this program. Fees
- ABA Senior Lawyers Division and ADR Section Members: $1,000 before June 15; $1,100 thereafter
- ABA Members / Non-Senior Lawyer Division: $1,100 before June 15; $1,200 thereafter
- Non ABA Members: $1,200 before June 15; $1,300 thereafter
