| Abstract | This article focuses on filing and filing-strategy-the application phase-for a mark not yet put to use. I am assuming, both for strategy and for expense estimates, that a proper mark search in the target countries and filing systems support [your client's] confidence that its mark is a universal candidate for national protection. I will not pay much attention to the imp0ortant topics of mark contests, mark assignment, and post-"registration" mark maintenance. |
