| Abstract | The Save Venice New York decision does support the doctrine that ownership of an incontestable registration does not give the applicant a right to register the same mark for different goods or services, even if they are closely related to the goods or services in the incontestable registration. But the author of this article maintains that to suggest the case stands for this doctrine seems rather disingenuous. |
