| Abstract | Even though it started as Plan A to advance the ability of U.S. firms to compete overseas while complying with international treaties and conventions, the Supplemental Register today is a viable Plan B for many U.S. businesses to gain some nationwide recognition and protection for their marks that otherwise would not be considered registrable. |
