Judges Needed for McLennon Honors Moot Court Competition Preliminary Rounds
The Paul A. McLennon, Sr., Honors Moot Court Competition, endowed through the generosity of USD Professor-in-Residence Michael Devitt and his family to honor longtime family friend, attorney and naval officer, Paul A. McLennon, Sr., provides an opportunity for students to develop their brief writing and advocacy skills and to test these skills in an open, rigorous competition. Organized by the Appellate Moot Court Board, the competition consists of several preliminary rounds, culminating in the final round argued before a distinguished panel of judges.
The Appellate Moot Court Board invites alumni to serve as judges for this year's competition. More than 250 judges are needed for the preliminary rounds scheduled on:
San Diego Superior Court Hall of Justice
Volunteer judges will receive a reminder email approximately one week prior to the tournament, along with a bench brief and detailed instructions. Each judge will serve on a three- or four-judge panel and hear two rounds of oral arguments.
To serve as volunteer judge, email the Appellate Moot Court Board with the night(s) you are available.
