NBC San Diego-- University of San Diego has received $300,000 in federal aid to combat suicide ts and expand prevention outreach efforts. That's according to UT San Diego. Stew departments, faculty and staff will be trained to detect the warning signs of suicide. The University will reach out to parents to make sure they know what resources are available. USD officials say the goal is to create a community that is, quote, informed and empowered.
