U-T San Diego -- The photo of Marine double amputee Jesse Cottle with his wife, Kelly, says it all. He has no legs, his wife is holding him up, and they're smiling.
Cottle, 28, lost both his legs in 2009 in Afghanistan to an improvised explosive device, or IED. These devices became notorious in Iraq and Afghanistan for the injuries they inflicted. While recuperating, Cottle met Kelly Forrester, and they were married last year, he told Channel 10 News. The couple live in San Diego; Cottle is attending the University of San Diego, where he studies biology. (Full Story)
