U-T San Diego -- San Diego's economy continued to grow solidly in April, says a report released Thursday by the University of San Diego.
The report of Leading Economic Indicators measures month-to-month changes in various sectors of the local economy. In April, the index rose 0.5 percent from March, the 16th out of 17 months the economy has grown. In April, a drop in initial claims for unemployment insurance, an increase in job ads, and a rise in stock prices from local companies boosted the index. (Full Story)
