The School of Leadership and Education Sciences (SOLES) has been ranked in the top 100 schools of education by U.S. News and World Report for 2014. There are approximately 850 schools of education in the United States, and SOLES' all-time high ranking of No. 91 places the school in the top 11 percent nationwide.
SOLES' ranking places it No. 4 among private schools of education in the state, which includes schools of education at Stanford University, University of Southern California, and Loyola Marymount University in the first three spaces.
Dean Paula Cordeiro credits SOLES' rise in the rankings to the extraordinary achievements, hard work, and dedication of the school's students and faculty, as well as the increasingly high admissions standards set for the school's graduate and credential programs.
