North County Times -- U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, the first Hispanic appointed to the high court, will visit the University of San Diego on Jan. 27 to discuss and sign copies of her new book, "My Beloved World."
Sotomayor will mainly talk about her life, from her childhood in the Bronx section of New York to her years as a college student at Princeton and Yale and her work in the legal system, which went from the New York District Attorney's Office to the Supreme Court. She was appointed to the court in 2009 by President Obama, becoming the third woman to become a Supreme Court justice. (Full Story)
