Communications Office Work/Study


Write brief news articles for the law school website, magazine and alumni newsletter. Track and compile news coverage abour the law school from internet resources provided by the department. Contact alumni to fact-check news item information, request photos and/or other information. Filing and other light office duties as assigned. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience writing for a college level or above media outlet (print, radio, tv). Ability to learn quickly, use resources effectively and solve problems. Ability to communicate effectively through writing. Ability to research topics using the internet and library.

Two positions available.


Approx. 10-20 hours per week. Felxible within the regulat work day: 8:30am-5:00pm. One or two weeknights per semester for special events. First semester is trial. Workers may be invited to continue employment througout their law school career. Interviews will begin as early as August 1, 2011.
