Sean Olender

Areas of Expertise

Professor Olender teaches in the area of immigration law.

Professional Experience

Olender practices immigration and employment law at Olender Pham. His experience includes representing corporations in business immigration in the Silicon Valley, litigating immigration cases in the district courts and circuit courts of appeal and representing respondents and asylees in deportation defense cases in the immigration court.

Honors and Affiliations

Olender served on the Board of Directors of the American Immigration Lawyers Association Northern California Chapter, on the Editorial Board of San Francisco Attorney Magazine and on the NCHRA Legislative Affairs Committee. He is currently a Member of the Board of Directors of the Coalition of Concerned Legal Professionals. He was the recipient of the Benito Juarez Human Rights Award from the AIDS Legal Referral Panel, the Outstanding Volunteer in Public Service Award from the Bar Association of San Francisco VLSP, and served as a past chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s immigration law section. Olender has published articles in San Francisco Attorney Magazine, the San Francisco Chronicle and The Verdict and has been invited to give seminars and radio interviews on law and policy.
