Professor Lundmark teaches and writes in the areas of jurisprudence, comparative and constitutional law.
Lundmark is a professor of common law and comparative jurisprudence at the University of Münster in Germany. Upon his appointment in 1997, he became the first American appointed to a professorship in law at a German university.

Lundmark is a member of numerous philosophical and comparative law societies.
Lundmark's books include Charting the Divide Between Common and Civil Law (Oxford University Press, 2012); Power & Rights in US Constitutional Law (Oxford University Press, 2008); and The Talking Law Dictionary (Lexis Nexis Germany, 2005).
