Professor McCloud teaches legal analysis, legal reasoning, and exam writing. 

Professional Experience

McCloud worked at Vinson & Elkins in Houston in the firm’s appellate section. She moved to become an appellate law specialist and commercial defense lawyer at Beck, Redden & Secrest, also in Houston. McCloud taught English at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where she managed the English prep courses and faculty.

Honors and Affiliations

McCloud graduate magna cum laude from the University of Houston Law Center, where she was the chief note and comment editor of the school’s law review and won awards for her legal writing, including the State Bar of Texas writing award. She was named Professor of the Year at Broward College.
