Professor Carroll is the supervising attorney for USD's Appellate Clinic. 

Professional Experience

Carroll clerked for the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit and spent seven years as an attorney in the Appellate Court Branch of the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, D.C. She is now an appellate practitioner with Sullivan Hill Lewin Rez and Engel in San Diego. Carroll has briefed and argued appeals in many federal judicial circuits, in the California state courts, and in the bankruptcy appellate system.

Honors and Affiliations

Carroll graduated Order of the Coif from Duke University Law School and was Phi Beta Kappa at George Washington University. She is a member of the State Bars of California, Maryland, and Washington, D.C., and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; the California Supreme Court; the United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Fourth, Fifth, Seventh, Ninth, Eleventh, and District of Columbia Circuits; before the United States District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California; and before all California courts. She has been recognized as a "San Diego Super Lawyer" in the field of appellate law in 2007, 2011 and 2012.
