R. Anthony Bauman

Areas of Expertise

Professor Bauman teaches in the areas of tax research and communication. 

Professional Experience

Bauman has substantial trial experience, having tried some 13 cases to jury verdict, as well as numerous other arbitrations and mediations.

Honors and Affiliations

Bauman served as a radioman in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1971. He was elected by his colleagues as co-chair of the San Diego County Bar Association Taxation Section for the 2006-07 term and has also served as chairman of the San Diego County Bar Association Tax Court Pro Se Program since January 2005. Bauman is a member of the State Bar of California and has been certified as a specialist in taxation law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization.
