Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF)
The Public Interest Law Foundation (PILF) holds two major events each year to connect USD law students to internships and careers that serve underrepresented communities. In the fall, PILF sends 20 students to the Equal Justice Works Career Fair in Washington, D.C., where students interview for government and non-profit internships and jobs post-graduation. In the spring, PILF conducts a pledge drive for the Loan Repayment Assistance Program (LRAP),raising an annual amount of around $20,000 to be awarded to USD graduates who pursue public interest careers.
