Patrick Riedling joined USD in 2006. He directs and manages 35-40 communications projects annually for various audiences from prospective law students to alumni, employers, and other targeted external constituencies. Projects include advertising, direct mail and email campaigns, media relations, website content, social media, alumni magazine, and a host of custom printed collaterals.
Prior to coming to USD, Riedling was an account manager and communications specialist for regional and national advertising/public relations agencies, where he managed clients in higher education, mobile technology, health care, spirits, QSR, and fine arts/antiquities. He was a marketing/pr manager for a regional opera company and for Louisville Public Media, one of the nation’s most respected public radio conglomerates.
Riedling received his bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Louisville. His interests include the anthropology of marketing, how messaging affects and directs behavior and shapes cultural norms.
