Professor Reisman teaches in the area of patent law.
Reisman in a partner at the law firm of Knobbe Martens Olsen & Bear in San Diego, where he specializes in patent prosecution and strategic counseling. He is a member of the State Bar of California.
Honors and Affiliations
Reisman clerked for the Honorable Alan D. Lourie, a circuit judge with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He was awarded La Bourse Chateaubriand by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the French Embassy to the United States. The San Diego Daily Transcript named Reisman a Top Attorney for Intellectual Property (Transactional) law in 2007 and 2008. He was named a San Diego SuperLawyer from 2009 to 2011 and named to the list of Best Lawyers in America in 2010 and 2011.
Reisman's publications include "Physicians and Surgeons as Inventors: Reconciling Medical Process Patents and Medical Ethics" in High Technology Law Journal (1995).
